Reed is an IT professional with nearly two decades of experience spanning data centers, internet service providers, global infrastructure operations, and community-focused technical support. Originally from Catalina Island, he began his career in a network operations center, assisting with customer installations and troubleshooting complex issues in a fast-paced data-center environment. He later moved into an ISP role, where he provisioned customer equipment and provided hands-on support across a wide range of networking and connectivity needs.

He eventually joined a global organization responsible for coordinating key internet resources, where he took on a series of progressively broader technical roles. He began by supporting end-user systems, then transitioned into systems engineering, managing infrastructure ranging from servers to network appliances. Over time, he expanded into leadership, managing a team of engineers and guiding cross-functional technical initiatives.

During this period, he contributed to major projects including the modernization of the organization’s web infrastructure and the implementation of email address internationalization—an effort that enabled users around the world to send and receive email using their native scripts, improving global accessibility and inclusivity.

After years of working in large-scale, globally distributed environments, he shifted his focus toward more localized impact. Today, he works with a managed service provider, applying his broad skillset to support small businesses and home users in his community.
