Lovable Website Access & Editing Instructions

Log in and request website changes using plain language (no coding).

Your Lovable account is usually created by 4leggedIT for you.

If you don’t have a Lovable account yet, use the Sign Up flow on lovable.dev before logging in.

If you already have access, do not create a second account.

Although this article is designed around Lovable, the same concepts apply to other suitable AI website builders (project dashboard, preview, small change requests, and rollback/version history).

1

Step 1 — Log in to Lovable and open your website project

➡ What this step does

This step gets you into the correct Lovable project.

You will confirm you’re viewing your rescue website.

📋 What to do
  1. Go to lovable.dev.
  2. Log in using the method your team uses (email/password or Google login).
  3. Open the Projects dashboard and select your website project.
  4. If you see multiple projects, choose the one that matches your rescue name.
✅ What should happen

You can see your project workspace and a website preview.

You can find the main prompt box for requesting changes.

Step 2 — Request edits using plain language

➡ What this step does

This step updates your website without you touching code.

You describe the change, then Lovable generates the update.

📋 What to do
  1. Find the main instruction/prompt box in Lovable.
  2. Write one clear request at a time (short and specific).
  3. Submit the request and wait for the update to complete.
  4. If the result is close but not perfect, ask for a small revision (do not start over).
  5. Example request: Update the homepage headline to say “Saving Dogs, Supporting Communities”.
  6. Example request: Change the contact email everywhere to info@yourrescue.org.
  7. Example request: Add a Donate button that links to our PayPal donation page.
✅ What should happen

The preview updates to reflect your request.

You can review the exact text and layout changes right away.

3

Step 3 — Review the live change, then adjust or roll back

➡ What this step does

This step makes sure the update matches what you asked for.

If it’s not right, you either request another change or roll back.

📋 What to do
  1. Scroll the page you changed and read it top to bottom.
  2. Check mobile layout if Lovable provides a responsive preview.
  3. If anything is wrong, go back to Step 2 and request a small revision.
  4. If you need to undo the change, use Lovable’s rollback/undo tools.
✅ What should happen

The updated content is visible and looks correct.

If it needs changes, you know exactly what to request next.
